We have been on several trips. Buster has changed jobs. Janie and Aaron started a new business. Kids and Grandkids are growing like weeds. Buster and I bought a house in Columbia. I will look up pics and start posting them sometime this week end. I'll try to do better. Welcome back to our Life in the Fast Lane.

Visit with Sunshine & Family

Buster and I along with Janie and Aaron flew down to Jacksonville to visit family. We had a great time. Aaron and Janie went to visit Aaron's family while we went to visit Sunshine's Family. We got to go on base with Chris and tour a little bit and was so close to getting to tour a submarine, but it fell thru at the last minute. Maybe next time. However we did get to see a sub go out of the bay. That was so fun. How many people can say, I saw a real sub in the water. It was small compared to Chris's boat but never the less a sub.
Lacie, Steve, Lindsey and Crystal came down for a day and went to the beach with Sunshine and I with all the kids while Chris and Buster went golfing. We had fun picking up shells and letting the kids play in the water. After all it was 85 degrees on the beach while it was in the 40's here.
Then on Sunday, Janie and Aaron met back up with us and we all got to go to the Titans vs Jacksonville game. Thanks again to Chris and Sunshine for getting tickets.
We tail-gated with Aaron's friends before the game. It was interesting 6 of us Titans fans in the middle of all the Jacksonville Fans. But they made us feel very welcomed and fed us anyway. Needless to say the T I T A N S won, yeah!
Can't wait to go back to visit. This time we stayed at a hotel but Kenneth offered us his room to stay in. So next time we will stay with them if possible.
ENJOY OUR PICS

Crystal's Birthday

The old funky monkey turned 28 on October 3, 2008. She got a new purse, phone, socks, Titans shirt and an Elvis clock. She loves playing the slot machine we got from my work. She keeps winning and she cleans out the coins in the machine and just laughs and laughs saying "I won, I did it." She has a good time.

Southern Fried Festival

Buster and Crystal rode the Harley and I rode my scooter to my work where we parked and walked to the festival. Lacie and Lindsey came to. The aroma of food smelled good when we arrived. I kept looking for southern fried food, which I never found so we ate burgers and onion blooms and funnel cakes of course. The Kentucky Head Hunters were there and they were great. The drummer put on a near 15 minute drum solo. He was awesome. We had a great time.

Nana Day at School "Grand Parents Day"

When Nathan got a note from school about Grand parents day he had his mama bring him to my work to hand deliver what he called Nana day at his school and he wanted me to come. The other boys got their note later the same day. They all go to the same school right now. Buster had to work. My boss let me and Gene off long enough to go to Nana Day. The boys had a small program were they sang songs and then we got to go to each of their classes and see their work. They were so excited that their dad came to.

Labor Day Weekend at Dale's

Who says old people can't have fun. Dale, Aunt Wilma's son and Buster's boss had us over for a cook out, Swimming and we also enjoyed the Hot Tub. Daddy Jack thought he was young again, at age 69. He said he hadn't had this much fun in 20 years. He was diving forward and backward into the pool and just really enjoying himself. Mama Sandy and Aunt Wilma were being true sisters, you know cat fighting in the pool. Crystal was diving like a dolphin and having a lot of fun too. Dale's pool was great he had a water fountain in the middle and it was so refreshing. Dale grilled out food for us and the ladies brought goodies to. Everything was really good and we all enjoyed ourselves. Please you young folkes don't laugh you will be old to one day. And as I always say to my kids."We might be old, but we are not dead". Ha! Ha!
